This website, franklinjavier.com, is the personal site and blog of Franklin Javier. It is a static website and it is intentionally boring from a privacy perspective: it exists to publish articles, with only aggregate traffic statistics.

## What this site collects

- **Cookieless, aggregated Vercel Web Analytics.** This site measures page views and referrers in aggregate, without cookies or cross-site tracking. Vercel identifies visitors using a hash derived from the incoming request, valid for one day. The site does not run Google Analytics or advertising scripts.
- **No cookies.** The site does not set cookies. Your theme preference (light or dark mode) is stored in your browser's `localStorage` and never leaves your device.
- **No accounts or forms.** There is nothing to sign up for, so no personal information is ever requested or stored by this site.

## Hosting

The site is hosted on [Vercel](https://vercel.com). As with any web host, Vercel's infrastructure may process standard server logs (such as IP addresses and user agents) to serve requests and protect against abuse. See the [Vercel privacy policy](https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy) for details. I do not access or store these logs.
